David is a physician and scientist with more than 20 years of leadership experience in pharmaceutical and biotechnology research and development and he currently works as an advisor to healthcare companies, their management and investors.

He was head of European Clinical Research and Regulatory Affairs and a member of the Board of Directors of Pfizer Ltd for much of the 1990s and prior to leaving Pfizer in 2001, was Senior Vice President of Pfizer Global Research and Development and head of R&D in Sandwich, UK. Since that time he has served on the Board and senior management of biotech companies in the US, UK and Europe and contributed widely to the development of new medicines for human health.

He currently leads the development subcommittee of the Board of several private biotech companies and is Chairman of the Development section of the Expert Scientific Advisory Committee and serves on the Global Safety Board of the Medicines for Malaria Venture based in Geneva.
