Alacrita

John has over 15 years of legal, intellectual property and post-doctoral research experience.

Prior to joining Alacrita, he was General Counsel and VP of Intellectual Property at Silence Therapeutics, plc in London, where he was responsible for obtaining patents covering core technology and successfully defending European patent office oppositions.

John also played a key role in a corporate transaction with Intradigm Corporation, U.S and various business development projects.

He has held VP Intellectual Property positions in Metabasis Therapeutics (La Jolla, CA), Transform Pharmaceuticals (Lexington. MA) and Genset (Paris), and has served as Patent Examiner with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

John holds a J.D. from George Washington University and a Ph.D. in molecular genetics from Ohio State University. He also holds a M.S. in microbiology and a B.Ed. from Ohio University.
